Domaine de la Jasse in Combaillaux rises up from the cleared scrubland.

Beneath the estate's iconic plane tree long summer evenings are spent, games of boules played and harvest meals enjoyed. Here, Cabernet-Sauvignon is king.
La Jasse means shelter in Occitan. The estate's plane tree, now over 100 years old, provided shelter for sheep for many years and inspired the creation of the estate's logo. The vineyard was planted at the end of the 1960s on cleared scrubland, which had never been used to grow crops.

Located at an elevation of around 150-200 metres, mainly facing East-South-East, the estate is situated in Combaillaux, 15km from Montpellier. 35 hectares of vines extend over 90 hectares home to scrubland, forests and waterways.

The soil is mainly Oligocene limestone, fragmented limestone rocks and clay-limestone.

These white rocks play a pivotal role in fruit ripening and in the concentration of our wines. They reflect the sunlight during the day and radiate the stored heat back, an occurrence whereby it is said that the grapes ripen between two suns. Cabernet-Sauvignon now reigns supreme on the estate, followed by Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
